Responsibilities
- Data Mining & Cleaning: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) large datasets from various sources using SQL and Python to ensure data accuracy and consistency for weekend reporting.
- Advanced Analytics: Perform complex statistical analysis and trend forecasting to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Dashboard Creation: Design and maintain interactive dashboards in Tableau or Power BI to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and present findings to stakeholders.
- Business Reporting: Compile weekly and monthly analytical reports that summarize data trends, identify anomalies, and recommend process improvements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate business questions into analytical solutions.
- Process Optimization: Identify gaps in data collection and propose technical solutions to improve data infrastructure and reporting workflows.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within a corporate or government contracting sector.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and programming languages such as Python or R.
- Visualization Tools: Demonstrated expertise in data visualization tools, specifically Tableau or Power BI.
- Schedule Availability: Must be available to work a Weekend Shift (e.g., Saturday/Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
