Responsibilities
- Data Mining & Analysis: Collect, clean, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that drive business growth.
- Visualization: Create compelling dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or Power BI to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Reporting: Develop and maintain regular performance reports and KPI tracking systems to monitor business health.
- Forecasting: Use statistical models to forecast future trends and assist in strategic planning.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Operations) to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and improve data quality.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis or business intelligence.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and strong knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Visualization Tools: Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar data visualization software.
- Programming: Familiarity with Python or R for data manipulation and analysis is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business recommendations.
- Relocation: Willingness and ability to relocate to the Chicago, IL area.
