Responsibilities
- Lead Security Operations: Oversee the daily activities of the Security Operations Center (SOC), monitoring for threats and responding to security incidents 24/7.
- Incident Response: Spearhead the investigation and remediation of security breaches, malware infections, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Penetration Testing: Conduct rigorous vulnerability assessments and red team exercises to identify weaknesses in our network architecture before malicious actors do.
- Cloud Security: Design and implement security controls for cloud environments (AWS/Azure) to ensure data sovereignty and compliance.
- Policy Enforcement: Develop and maintain enterprise-wide security policies, standards, and procedures in compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
- Threat Intelligence: Analyze global threat intelligence feeds to proactively defend against emerging cyber-attacks.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior security analysts and conduct regular security awareness training for remote employees.
Qualifications
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, network security, or IT security.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, IBM QRadar, or Microsoft Sentinel) and firewall management (Palo Alto, Fortinet).
- Remote Work: Demonstrated ability to work effectively and securely in a fully remote environment.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
