Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts via SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and conduct real-time analysis to identify and neutralize threats.
- Lead and manage incident response operations for security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Perform comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal and external networks.
- Develop and maintain robust security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks aligned with NIST and ISO 27001 standards.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security controls into the Software Development Life Cycle (DevSecOps).
- Conduct threat hunting activities to proactively discover malicious actors within the network.
- Manage firewall rules, VPN configurations, and access control lists to secure network perimeters.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security engineering.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common security protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for security automation.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex log data and generate actionable reports.
