Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts using SIEM tools to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal systems.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents according to established incident response protocols.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., HIPAA, NIST).
- Collaborate with the full-time security team to improve our overall security posture.
- Generate and analyze security reports to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems.
- Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote/hybrid environment.
