Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced threat detection systems using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Lead penetration testing engagements and vulnerability assessments for cloud/on-prem infrastructures
- Develop incident response playbooks and coordinate breach mitigation activities
- Conduct security architecture reviews for AWS/Azure environments
- Mentor junior engineers and create security automation scripts (Python, PowerShell)
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS frameworks
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in engineering/architecture roles
- Active CISSP, CISM, or OSCP certification (required)
- Expertise in network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs) and cloud security
- Experience with threat hunting frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and security automation tools
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations
