Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring & Analysis: Utilize SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to monitor network traffic, identify anomalies, and respond to security incidents in real-time.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify security weaknesses.
- Incident Response: Lead or participate in the incident response lifecycle, including containment, eradication, and recovery from cyber attacks.
- Security Architecture: Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and HIPAA by managing audit requirements and documentation.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security best practices and phishing awareness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Security+ is highly required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or network security.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or Bash) and deep knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
- Tools: Strong hands-on experience with SIEM solutions, Identity Management (IAM), and endpoint protection platforms.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
