Responsibilities
- Monitor security operations centers (SOC) for suspicious activities and respond to security incidents in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and code reviews to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and SIEM tools.
- Develop, document, and enforce enterprise-wide security policies and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to integrate security best practices into the SDLC.
- Perform log analysis and forensic investigations to determine the scope of security breaches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GCIH required; Security+ preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
