Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust network security architectures including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust frameworks
- Lead incident response for security breaches, conducting forensic analysis and remediation
- Develop automation scripts for threat detection using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments across hybrid cloud environments
- Mentor junior engineers on security best practices and emerging threats
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and Arizona state security regulations
Qualifications
- 8+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in enterprise environments
- Certified CISSP, CISM, or OSCP required (CEH acceptable)
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerization security
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Experience with threat hunting and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Knowledge of zero-trust architecture implementation
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
