Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM systems (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents and manage the incident response lifecycle from identification to resolution.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network infrastructure and applications.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001) across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement robust security controls and secure coding practices.
- Document security procedures, create playbooks, and conduct security awareness training for staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar advanced certification (e.g., CEH, Security+).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or threat hunting.
- Strong proficiency with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a 24/7 security operations center environment.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for onsite security audits.
