Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our elite security operations center in San Diego. Due to a critical expansion in our threat intelligence division, we are looking for a highly skilled professional ready to start immediately. Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic, logs, and security events to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Lead and coordinate incident response investigations, including forensic analysis and root cause determination.
- Design, deploy, and manage advanced security controls such as Next-Generation Firewalls, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and compliance audits to ensure adherence to NIST and ISO standards.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and playbooks for incident management.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement DevSecOps practices and secure cloud environments.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends and emerging threats to recommend proactive defense strategies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, network security, or a related field.
- Active certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Security+ (GSEC is a plus).
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm, or IBM QRadar).
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required for clearance eligibility.
