Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, Azure Sentinel) to identify and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Lead and execute incident response investigations, including root cause analysis and post-incident reporting.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security architecture reviews to proactively identify weaknesses.
- Implement, configure, and manage network security controls, firewalls, and encryption protocols.
- Ensure strict compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Provide security awareness training and mentor junior analysts on emerging threats.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GSEC, or Security+ are strongly preferred.
- Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for executive reporting.
