We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our elite team at Apex Equity Solutions, a premier firm specializing in equity options technology. We are looking for a dedicated professional to cover our critical weekend shift, ensuring our high-frequency trading platforms remain robust, secure, and operational when the markets are closed.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of financial technology, designing and maintaining the infrastructure that powers complex derivative trading strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality code and innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable, low-latency software systems for equity options trading engines.
- Execute weekend deployments and system patches to minimize downtime and enhance system stability.
- Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts to proactively resolve technical issues.
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts to optimize pricing models and risk management tools.
- Ensure strict compliance with financial regulatory standards and data security protocols.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers on best practices for financial software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Go, or Java.
- Experience with financial markets, specifically equity options, derivatives, or high-frequency trading systems.
- Must be available to work weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday).
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
