Responsibilities
- Lead and direct the investigation and remediation of complex security incidents and breaches.
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide security controls and firewalls.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Monitor security systems and analyze threat intelligence to proactively mitigate risks.
- Develop and maintain SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) rules and dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and NIST frameworks.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint protection solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
