Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor security operations centers (SOC) 24/7 using SIEM tools to identify, analyze, and neutralize sophisticated cyber threats in real-time.
- Security Architecture: Design and implement secure network architectures and infrastructure to protect organizational assets against evolving cyber-attacks.
- Incident Management: Lead and coordinate major incident response efforts, conducting post-mortem analyses to improve defensive postures.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and compliance audits (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Policy Development: Develop, document, and enforce enterprise-wide security policies and procedures.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and security awareness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC GCIH certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity engineering, network security, or IT security.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting; deep knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Cloud Security: Strong understanding of cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container security (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
