Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN solutions.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify system weaknesses.
- Lead incident response investigations and remediation efforts during active security breaches.
- Monitor security telemetry and SIEM data to detect and neutralize threats in real-time.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and security tools (Splunk, Wireshark).
- Deep understanding of network protocols, cryptography, and cloud security architectures (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
