Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security systems for suspicious activities, incidents, and anomalies.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses.
- Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (ISO 27001, NIST).
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into software development and infrastructure deployment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI models, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Splunk Enterprise Security) and endpoint protection.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
