Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats immediately.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses before they are exploited.
- Manage compliance frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA to ensure organizational standards are met.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security patches and firewall configurations.
- Lead incident response investigations, documenting findings and providing post-incident reports.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees to reduce human error risks.
- Stay current with emerging cyber threats and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with endpoint protection solutions and threat intelligence platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening.
