Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or similar).
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols.
- Lead incident response efforts during security breaches, coordinating with legal and IT teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security best practices into the SDLC.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Clearance to work in a secure environment (if applicable).
