Responsibilities
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) dashboards and alerts to detect potential threats during weekend shifts.
- Conduct in-depth incident investigations, root cause analysis, and execute containment strategies for cyber breaches.
- Manage vulnerability assessments and security patching for critical systems outside of standard business hours.
- Document all security events, incidents, and remediation actions in the SIEM and ticketing systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine security playbooks and enhance detection capabilities.
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex security issues and mentor junior analysts.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret (TS) or Secret clearance is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or network defense.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Proven ability to work rotating weekend shifts and holidays as part of a 24/7 coverage model.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
