Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Operations Center (SOC) alerts and traffic patterns during weekend shifts to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews to improve security posture.
- Manage and maintain Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, ensuring accurate correlation and alerting logic.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure to proactively identify weaknesses.
- Collaborate with internal teams to patch vulnerabilities and enforce security policies across the organization.
- Document all security incidents, responses, and policy changes in accordance with regulatory standards (NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Respond to security alerts from external sources and coordinate with law enforcement or third-party vendors when necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Ability to work a rotating weekend shift (Friday-Sunday) with the option for remote work during these hours.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting security incidents.
- Experience with Linux and Windows system administration.
