Responsibilities
- 24/7 Incident Response: Monitor security alerts and logs for potential breaches, vulnerabilities, and anomalous activity across the network perimeter.
- Threat Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of weekend security events to identify attack vectors and execute rapid containment strategies.
- SIEM Management: Configure and tune SIEM rules (Splunk, QRadar) to reduce false positives and ensure critical alerts are escalated immediately.
- Vulnerability Management: Lead weekend vulnerability scanning and remediation efforts to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Report Generation: Produce detailed post-incident reports and weekly security posture summaries for executive leadership.
- Access Control: Manage and audit user access privileges to ensure the principle of least privilege is maintained during weekend operations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a SOC environment, specifically with weekend shift experience.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification is required; GCIH preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, Splunk ES, or ArcSight), Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relocation: Must be willing to relocate to the Fort Worth, TX area.
