The Role:
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents outside of standard business hours. You will act as the first line of defense against cyber threats, ensuring our clients' data remains uncompromised.
Responsibilities
- Incident Response: Monitor security alerts and events 24/7, prioritizing and responding to critical threats during the weekend shift.
- Threat Hunting: Conduct proactive threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to identify potential exploits before they impact production.
- Forensic Analysis: Perform post-incident analysis and root cause analysis to improve our defensive posture.
- Security Operations: Manage and maintain Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, tuning rules and dashboards for optimal visibility.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal security policies and industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001) during off-hours audits.
- Reporting: Generate detailed reports on security events and incident trends for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Shift Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Friday to Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar), Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), and Endpoint Detection (CrowdStrike).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to document incidents and brief the on-call team.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
