Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Operations Center (SOC): Analyze security alerts and monitor network traffic 24/7 to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate the investigation and resolution of security breaches and cyber incidents.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively hunt for advanced persistent threats (APTs) and vulnerabilities within the network infrastructure.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans to maintain a robust security posture.
- Compliance Reporting: Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Security Hardening: Implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and other security controls.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm), SIEM, and scripting languages (Python/Bash).
- Remote Capability: Must be willing to work in a hybrid or fully remote capacity, with availability for New York or North Carolina time zones.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting to stakeholders and leadership.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
