Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses before attackers do.
- Manage and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint protection platforms.
- Ensure strict compliance with industry standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, and NIST frameworks.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement secure coding practices and patch management.
- Lead incident response drills and prepare comprehensive security documentation for audits.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols.
- Experience with Linux and Windows environments.
- Proven ability to work under pressure in a SOC environment.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting to stakeholders and executive leadership.
