Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts 24/7 using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential intrusions.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify system weaknesses.
- Lead and manage incident response efforts during security breaches, coordinating with legal and executive teams.
- Enforce corporate security policies and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
- Design and implement security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and endpoint protection.
- Provide security training and guidance to junior staff and stakeholders across the organization.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are strongly required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, risk management, or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and automation tools.
- Experience with cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting technical findings to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and adapt to shifting security priorities.
