Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, or similar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Lead forensic investigations and root cause analysis for security breaches.
- Enforce and maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security patches and configure firewalls/IDS/IPS.
- Create detailed incident reports and documentation for stakeholders and auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or threat intelligence.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and virtualization.
- Experience with SIEM, EDR, and automated threat hunting tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
