Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Lead incident response investigations and coordinate with external forensics teams when necessary.
- Implement and manage firewall rules, VPN configurations, and endpoint security solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP protocols, network architecture, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
