Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for cloud/on-premises environments
- Develop and implement security controls aligned with NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate security gaps and improve defenses
- Generate executive-level security reports and threat intelligence briefings
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and industry-specific regulations
- Lead incident response tabletop exercises and security awareness training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in SOC operations or threat detection
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or GIAC (e.g., GCIH, GCFA)
- Expertise in threat hunting, IDS/IPS, and network security protocols
- Proficiency with scripting (Python, PowerShell) and automation tools
- Experience with AWS/Azure security services and cloud architectures
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize critical threats
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain
