Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify and respond to potential threats.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations, root cause analysis, and facilitate post-incident reviews.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and manage patch management processes to reduce exposure.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry regulations (SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Execute threat hunting activities to proactively identify malicious actors within the network.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to non-technical staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a similar Senior Analyst or SOC role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency with SIEM platforms, EDR tools, and vulnerability scanners.
- Experience with Python or Bash scripting for automation and log analysis.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical findings to stakeholders.
