Responsibilities
- Lead incident response operations for cybersecurity threats across Georgia-based infrastructure
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Develop and implement security monitoring protocols using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Collaborate with IT teams to maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and Georgia-specific regulations
- Create executive-level security risk reports and mitigation strategies
- Mentor junior analysts and conduct security awareness training
- Research emerging threats and propose proactive defense measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with focus on threat detection and response
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or GIAC required (CompTIA Security+ acceptable)
- Expertise in network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs) and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) and SIEM analysis
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Strong knowledge of Georgia cybersecurity regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to work independently in remote settings while collaborating effectively
