Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols.
- Investigate and remediate security breaches to minimize operational impact.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (NIST, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification required: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with incident response frameworks and forensic analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
