Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and incidents via SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to strengthen our security posture.
- Lead incident response investigations and coordinate with legal and executive teams during breaches.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Provide expert security training and guidance to junior staff and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or network engineering.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Proficiency in cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex logs and threat data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to executive leadership.
