Apex Cyber Defense is currently seeking a highly motivated Cybersecurity Analyst to join our elite 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC). In this pivotal role, you will monitor network traffic, identify threats, and lead incident response efforts during our critical night shift. Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time across enterprise infrastructure using SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight, or Sentinel).
- Conduct 24/7 threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to proactively identify potential security breaches.
- Perform detailed log analysis and triage to determine the severity of security incidents.
- Coordinate with incident response teams to contain and neutralize cyber threats effectively.
- Document security incidents, root causes, and resolution steps in accordance with compliance standards.
- Assist in the development and testing of incident response playbooks and security policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or similar) and endpoint protection tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- Willingness to work rotating night shifts (00:00 - 08:00) on a 24/7 roster.
