Responsibilities
- Monitor & Detect: Conduct 24/7 monitoring of security alerts, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and firewalls to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the triage, analysis, and remediation of security incidents and breaches that occur during off-hours.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively hunt for advanced persistent threats (APTs) and zero-day exploits within the network environment.
- Vulnerability Management: Perform regular vulnerability assessments and security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, NIST).
- Log Analysis: Analyze logs from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to correlate data and uncover suspicious activity patterns.
- Reporting: Generate comprehensive nightly and weekly security reports for stakeholders and management.
Qualifications
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, GCIH, or CISM preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a SOC or NOC environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools, endpoint protection, and network security protocols.
- Shift Requirement: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure during critical incidents.
