Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events 24/7 across the enterprise network to detect and respond to malicious activity in real-time.
- Conduct detailed incident investigations and root cause analysis for security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Manage and configure security appliances, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in the infrastructure.
- Document security incidents, response procedures, and maintain an up-to-date knowledge base for the SOC team.
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to implement secure coding practices and infrastructure hardening.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Current CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or SOC operations.
- Proven experience working in a Night Shift environment is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, network architecture, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight) and scripting languages (Python or PowerShell).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
