Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our elite Security Operations Center (SOC). In this high-stakes role, you will be responsible for monitoring our network infrastructure 24/7, specifically focusing on the night shift to ensure continuous protection against evolving cyber threats.
This position is based in Austin, TX, but offers flexible remote work options for candidates who can commit to the night shift rotation.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time during the night shift.
- Utilize SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to detect anomalies and potential intrusions.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems.
- Collaborate with the incident response team to contain and mitigate security breaches.
- Document all security events, incidents, and remediation efforts in the security log.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and threat intelligence.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or information security.
- Certification: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and maintain high levels of concentration.
