Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) during overnight hours
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis and threat hunting
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR) across hybrid environments
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of client systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during incident response and remediation
- Document security protocols and prepare executive incident reports
- Stay current with emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities
Qualifications
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with 2+ years in night shift operations
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Expertise in SIEM tools, threat intelligence platforms, and incident response frameworks
- Proficiency with network security technologies (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security events
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision
