Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) during night shift hours
- Investigate and respond to security incidents including malware, intrusion attempts, and data breaches
- Perform log analysis, network traffic monitoring, and vulnerability assessments
- Collaborate with day shift analysts for seamless threat intelligence sharing
- Generate detailed incident reports and recommend mitigation strategies
- Conduct forensic investigations using tools like EnCase and FTK
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry-specific regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with night shift or rotational schedule exposure
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and EDR platforms
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat hunting
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to work independently under pressure during critical incidents
- Valid US government security clearance preferred
