Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and manage the remediation lifecycle to reduce the organization's attack surface.
- Lead incident response investigations, performing forensic analysis and coordinating with cross-functional teams for resolution.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust information security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design secure architectures and integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle.
- Train and mentor junior analysts on security best practices and incident handling procedures.
Qualifications
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent advanced certification (e.g., CISM, CISA).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a SOC or security engineering role.
- Deep technical knowledge of network security concepts, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in security tools such as FireEye, Darktrace, CrowdStrike, or SentinelOne.
- Strong understanding of federal and state compliance regulations relevant to the financial and healthcare sectors.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex security findings to non-technical stakeholders.
