Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and incidents through SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses before malicious actors do.
- Develop and implement robust security protocols and policies to ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2 standards.
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with IT teams to contain and eradicate cyber threats efficiently.
- Collaborate with software developers to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Provide security training and awareness programs to stakeholders across the organization.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, including 2+ years in a senior analyst or engineering role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ are strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of network security architecture, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation and threat hunting.
- Demonstrated experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
