Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to strengthen our security posture.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, coordinating with legal and IT teams.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends and emerging threats to recommend proactive measures.
- Perform security audits and ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks such as NIST, GDPR, and HIPAA.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or information security roles.
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and encryption technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or PowerShell) for automation tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be willing to work in our New York City office.
