Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Lead incident response efforts, including forensics and root cause analysis, to minimize downtime.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and HIPAA standards.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices across the organization.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff members on security protocols.
- Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GCIH, or CompTIA Security+ (Advanced+).
- Strong knowledge of network security concepts, protocols, and attack vectors.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) or automation tools.
- Experience with firewall management, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection (EDR) solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 SOC environment.
