Responsibilities
- Threat Detection: Monitor network traffic and security systems in real-time to identify and mitigate potential cyber threats and intrusions.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and resolution of security breaches, conducting forensic analysis to prevent future occurrences.
- Vulnerability Management: Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security gaps in our infrastructure.
- Security Compliance: Enforce company security policies and ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
- Security Architecture: Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement robust security controls and firewalls.
- Training & Awareness: Educate employees on security best practices and conduct security awareness training programs.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3-5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Certifications: Must hold a CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm) and endpoint protection solutions.
- Protocols: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and network protocols.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
