Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced security measures to protect organizational systems and data
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat hunting operations
- Lead incident response activities including forensic analysis and containment protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop security-aware architecture
- Monitor SIEM platforms and analyze security alerts using tools like Splunk and Darktrace
- Document security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Mentor junior security staff and conduct security awareness training
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with focus on threat detection and incident response
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or GIAC required (GCIH preferred)
- Expert knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems
- Proficiency in security automation tools (Ansible, Python, PowerShell)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex security data
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain government clearance
