Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems 24/7 to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and document detailed incident reports
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate cross-functional breach mitigation efforts
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend security improvements to executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight) and network protocols
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security data
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting
