Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or Sentinel) to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems to enforce strict network security policies.
- Lead incident response investigations, coordinating with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and restore operational integrity.
- Ensure strict compliance with industry regulations such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA through documentation and audits.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to empower employees against social engineering and phishing attacks.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH is highly required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network defense.
- Strong proficiency in Linux, Windows, and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
- Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), routing, and common attack vectors.
- Experience with incident response frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework) and digital forensics.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
