Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to security incidents in real-time using SIEM tools like Splunk and QRadar.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies.
- Lead threat hunting activities and forensic investigations.
- Ensure strict compliance with SOC2, HIPAA, and local Texas data privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and secure network architecture.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or network security.
- Certification: CISSP, CISM, or equivalent (CompTIA Security+ or Security+ with experience considered).
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with cloud security frameworks (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with immediate project deadlines.
