Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, or similar) to ensure rapid response and mitigation.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses before exploitation.
- Manage and enforce security policies and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA) across the organization.
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with IT teams and external stakeholders during security breaches.
- Design and implement security architectures for cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and on-premise systems.
- Perform security audits and provide detailed reporting on security posture and risk management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related IT field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and automation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for critical security events.
