Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents within the Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and configure SIEM tools to correlate logs and detect anomalies.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Lead incident response efforts, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement secure coding practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or network defense.
- Strong knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
